Description:
- The post holder will work with colleagues to provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated Ophthalmology service across the Trust and will work with consultants in running the service.
- The post holder will be expected to attend clinical meetings and to take part in continual medical activities in line with Royal College guidelines.
- Study leave for Continuing Medical Education is available as provided for under the Terms and Conditions of Service for Hospital Medical and Dental staff.
- The post holder will support the delivery of the National Health Service Plan, which includes Direct and Partial Booking of Outpatients, and the introduction of Booked Admissions within Ophthalmology Day Surgery.
- The post holder will be expected to take part in cover of ophthalmologic emergencies for up to 4 sessions during the working week. There is no out of hours service.
Required:
- Good level of English is required for this position
- Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council is mandatory
- Advance Trauma Life Support courses will be considered an Advantage
Salary Range: Salary will depend on qualifications and experience
